The surfer Nadia Erostarbe will make history by becoming the first Basque and Spanish woman to compete in a World Championship Tour (WCT) event. She will participate in the Lexus Pipe Pro in Hawaii, replacing Frenchwoman Johanne Defay, who is injured. Erostarbe, 24, has already excelled at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, earning an Olympic diploma by reaching the quarterfinals. Her participation in the WCT represents a significant milestone for women’s surfing in Spain.
